Water is an incredible gift from Mother Nature for sustaining our life and body and keeping us healthy. Drinking 8 to 10 glasses a day is the normal requirement for an average person. Our body needs plenty of water to maintain its standard body weight as our body weight is 75% water. The vibrant and the main parts of the body like the heart, lungs, muscles, brain and kidneys depend on water for their hydration.

Incredibly, people who drink more water tend to be leaner and smarter. Water helps to lose weight and control obesity. Our kidneys need a good amount of water to operate at their maximum. If water intake is less, the kidneys’ operation is slackened and the load is automatically thrown on the liver. The main function of the liver is to convert fatty acids into energy, thus reducing the amount of stored fats. But when the liver gets burdened by the kidneys’ work, its own work quality is decreased and fewer fats are converted into energy leaving a high amount of deposited fats in the body. This proves that people combating obesity need to drink more water than the ones who are already lean.

Our body reserves an adequate amount of water to keep the organs satiated. If the water intake is less, the organs will have to be starved to retain the water for more crucial functions. Insufficient water intake makes the person exhausted and weak as our brain needs fluids to function. Low memory and migraines are also negative symptoms of less water intake.

Water aids the heart to circulate blood effectively and promotes its healthiness. Our digestive system also depends on water for effectual ingestion of the nutrients. Water aids in the cleansing of the body by washing out waste products and toxins. Acne and other skin disorders can also be alleviated considerably by drinking sufficient water.

Sufficient water also ensures that kidney stones and urinary infections are prevented. It also helps to tone muscles and lubricate joints. It keeps the people happy and energized. It improves the level of performance and helps people to remain active throughout the day. It also helps to maintain the normal temperature of the body as it has a cooling effect.

Water is a perfect substitute for coffee and soft drinks. Where soft drinks and coffee act as diuretics, water will act as a hydrator. Fruits and vegetables are also an excellent source of water. For those who forget to drink water, the best solution is to keep a water bottle with you at all times so that the next time you forget or feel too lazy to go to the kitchen, you have the water at an arm’s length.

For those who are fighting the war on obesity, it should be kept in mind that although water is good for health, cold water is entirely hazardous for it. Cold water promotes a fat belly, and also weakens the bones. Constipation can also be alleviated by drinking plenty of water as water improves the bowel function.

Water is the body’s full nourishment and the well of life. We should derive full advantage from nature’s most astounding gift.

What is Ionize Water?

Ionize = Energize! Drinking water is a must for our survival, but we need to ionize water for our health.

This little known discovery has been a life-saver for our family as we have suffered for years from many diseases, disorders and illnesses. We only became well again when we started drinking healthy ionizing water!

ionize water

Ionized water is free of contaminants (chemicals/ microorganisms/disinfectants) and is highly alkaline. Water that has been ionized forms very small clusters of about 5 to 6 molecules, compared to tap water which has 10 to 13 molecules. This reduction makes it a lot easier, and quicker, for our bodies to absorb the water, which improves the hydrating effects that enhances cellular absorption.

Minerals and Ionize Water

Minerals are essential to ionize water because they act as a conductor of electrochemical activity from cell to cell. Our nervous system needs electricity to monitor and report on activity within our body.

Ionized alkaline water also activates the naturally occurring minerals within the body. These minerals help to buffer excess acidity from the metabolism of food. They also help the body to flush out toxins and waste build up.

Ionize Water Increases Oxygen

Oxygen free radicals contribute significantly to many harmful conditions in the body. Many of these conditions are life-threatening such as cancer and heart problems.

Drinking ionized water produces extra oxygen in the blood and energy in the body. This increase in oxygen also helps to neutralize acids.

Health Benefits

Drinking water that has not been ionized can have a detrimental affect on your health. Drinking alkaline ionized water, however, has an incredibly beneficial affect. It is the most natural way to improve your health without using medicine.

Ionized water restores alkalinity and is the best way to detoxify the body. It cleans the blood and transports critical nutrients to the cells more efficiently. If consumed in the right quantities it will bring the body into an alkaline state.

Disease cannot survive in an alkaline body and will therefore clear up any disorders and illnesses. However, if your body is diseased it will need additional help from supplements and a 100% alkaline diet to cure itself.

Ionized Water Improves Food

An added bonus of ionizing water is that it improves the taste.

Foods taste fantastic when cooked in ionized water. The natural texture and color of vegetables is retained in vegetables and rice will be fluffier too.

Water Ionizer

In order to ionize your water you must use a water ionizer. They are small in size – about the size of a loaf of bread -and can be easily fitted to your water supply.

Water ionizers have been around for decades in Japan. However it has only been in recent years that the western world has been aware of their existence – and benefits. In the majority of far eastern countries water ionizers are being used in hospitals to treat many digestive, bowel and bladder conditions, such as diarrhea, urine infections and indigestion.

Their main purpose is to change water that has an acidic and neutral ph to a high alkaline ph. Water ionizers also raise the alkaline content in water, rendering it fresher and more healthful than non-ionized water.

They are a revolution in aiding our health – detoxifying and eliminating chemicals.

You can also build your own water ionizer to enjoy the benefits of ionized water without paying the price for a commercial model.

Ionized water is an essential nutrient your body really needs. It has all the elements for superior wellbeing. Its rich alkaline mineral content promotes optimum health, with maximum hydration, long-lasting energy, disease prevention, and longevity.

Healthy Water

Healthy water is fundamental to having a healthy life. It is critical to the environment and vital to the health of our communities.

Without it we would not be able to drink, grow agricultural products, or perform many essential activities that are vital to our wellbeing and economy.

There are 3.3 BILLION ILLNESSES and 5.3 MILLION DEALTHS each year because of unsafe water! This is a global statistic – not a third world statistic!

healthy water

Every living cell in your body depends on water for nourishment, elimination of waste, insulation, and cooling. Unfortunately, many people do not realize the importance of drinking healthy water.

Water Pollution

Drinking water, like every other substance, contains small amounts of bacteria. Most of these bacteria are common ones and they are generally not harmful.

However, due to our declining environment, most of our water is now highly polluted with toxins. Water pollution affects our drinking water, rivers, lakes and oceans all over the world. This consequently harms our health and the natural environment.

Polluted water can cause serious health problems. Even water that has been deemed ’safe’ can still create problems through continued exposure to many of the substances present in it.

Fifty years ago, before the water was treated with chemicals, 1 in 50 Americans had a disease caused by drinking unhealthy water. Now 1 in 3 Americans have health problems caused by drinking unsafe water!

Long-term drinking of polluted tap water can cause numerous diseases or disorders, including: weak immune system, headache, back pain, joint pains, fatigue, irritability, anxieties, depression, nervousness, bad breath, poor hygiene, dandruff, weak hair, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, diabetes, hemorrhoids, increased acidity, acne, renal failure, and menstrual, heart, liver, pancreas, kidney, and prostate disorders.

Chlorine

Pollutants include man-made chemicals and by-product chemicals used to disinfect and purify the water such as chlorine.

Chlorinated water has been linked to reproductive and developmental effects in children, breast cancer in women, and heart disease. Chlorine, lead, parasites and other common tap water components may have tragic long-term effects on small children.

Lead

Lead can normally not be seen, tasted, or smelt in drinking water. It can cause serious damage to the brain, kidneys, nervous system, and red blood cells.

Research shows that even small levels of lead are dangerous, especially for infants and children. Several studies have indicated that lead can cause learning disorders, attention deficit disorder, hyperactivity, significant drops in IQ levels, and other behavior-related problems.

It is important to check with your local water supplier to find out what tests have been carried out – particularly if you live in an older home that contains copper pipes soldered with lead.

Water Filters

healthy water filters Using a water filter to remove viruses, bacteria, fungi and chemicals from tap water is one step in the right direction to getting healthy drinking water.

Though using a filter alone is usually not enough as most of the minerals are removed. There are only a handful of excellent water filters on the market that will retain the goodness of the minerals.

Using similar technology to that of drinking water filters, shower filters remove many of the same contaminants and give you healthier, softer, skin and hair as well as major health benefits through the reduction of chlorine and chlorination by-products that are absorbed through the skin and inhaled with steam.

It feels like showering in spring water! An added bonus of using a shower filter is you get less soap scum. Also mineral staining and discoloring is eliminated.

Using a quality home water filter is the best way to provide clean, healthy water for your body – inside and out.

Minerals in Healthy Water

Minerals are some of the most important nutrients the body needs, yet mineral deficiency is common.

Drinking healthy water is a natural means for humans to get essential minerals like potassium, magnesium and calcium. These minerals help our bodies work well and stay healthy.

Drinking healthy water enriched with these vital minerals helps our defenses grow stronger and perform better; giving us the protection we need during our developing and fragile years.

Alkaline Ionized Water

healthy water ionizer

Alkaline is the opposite of acidic. Our bodies are supposed to be alkaline, but due to the foods we eat we become highly acidic which paves way to many diseases including cancer, acidosis, obesity, premature ageing, weak bones, and many more health-related problems.

Alkaline ionized water is different than the water we drink. It contains ions, has a different boiling point, viscosity, surface tension, and can enter our body cells three times faster than ordinary tap water.

Alkaline ionized water reads at a pH level of 9.5% with an ORP of -350, on average. Water from the ionizer filter is 100s of times more alkaline than even the freshest spring water.

It is negatively charged and contains hydroxyl ions which act as a super antioxidant. Ionized water, like the water found in the Hunza Valley where the inhabitants have lived to be 100 to 120 years, has negative ORP numbers.

Essentially, ionized alkaline drinking water helps to cleanse the body of toxicities, prevent disease, and supports optimum health and energy. It enables the oxygen in our drinking water to reach the blood in 30 seconds; the brain in one minute; the skin in 10 minutes; and the liver, heart, and kidneys in 20 minutes!

Drinking alkaline ionized water is an efficient and effective way for the body to get its minerals as it goes through a purification process that is re-mineralized in the process, reproducing vital minerals back into the water.

This is very important and is a critical step in understanding why our bodies are breaking down and becoming increasingly depleted of its natural minerals and abilities to fight off diseases and neutralize acid waste in our bodies.

In Summary

Drinking healthy water that is alkalized and full of antioxidants can have a profound affect on people’s health. Especially when combined with a high alkaline diet will provide energizing and healing properties; boosting immunity, increasing energy and turning on the anti-ageing gene.

Dehydration

Dehydration occurs when the body is lacking in sufficient water and salts. This often occurs from diarrhea, vomiting and consuming alcohol. However, most people are unaware that the recommended 2 liters, or 6-8 glasses of water per day, is not enough to keep your body properly hydrated. Even a 1% decrease in your body’s water requirements will make you dehydrated.

dehydration

Most people think they don’t need to drink until they are thirsty. In fact, they’ve already lost a considerable amount of water at this point. A good indicator of being hydrated is to look at the color of your urine. If it is light in color then you are hydrated and your body is eliminating excess water. However, if it is a dark color then your body needs lots more water.

Our Need for Water

Our body is composed mostly of water. Depending on our age and gender, the percentage of water ranges from 60% – 80%. Our brain is made up of 83% water and our lean muscle tissue contains about 75% water.

Our blood is also made up of mostly water, which is essential for efficiently transporting nutrients, helping to eliminate waste, and control body temperature. Research now suggests that to keep our body properly hydrated we need to drink 1 liter for every 30 pounds of body weight. So a 9 stone woman should be consuming about 4 liters of healthy water.

Drinking enough water is not the only requirement to keep hydrated but so is the type of water you drink. Most of our water is now polluted due to environmental toxins and chemicals. This causes it to be acidic which is not healthy for our body. Drinking alkaline water is highly recommended – particularly one that has a ph of 8.0 – 9.5 or higher.

Eat the Right Foods

The foods that we eat will determine how much water we get. There are two types of foods – acidic and alkaline. Acidic foods are mostly processed and most fruits and vegetables are alkaline. Acidic foods will dehydrate our body whereas alkaline foods will hydrate our body as they are made up mostly of water.

Caffeine and Juices

deyhdration water vegetables Caffeine is a diuretic and can cause the body to lose water at a rapid rate. Coffee, tea and soda all contain caffeine which is a known diuretic and will actually accelerate fluid loss.

Fruit juices are more concentrated in sugar than our body’s fluids and so the body will attempt to dilute them in the gut thereby causing a loss of water from other areas of the body.

Coffee, tea, sodas and other beverages should not be substitutes for water. It is true that you get liquid from these drinks, but you also get chemicals, dyes and empty calories that do not promote health. Sodas, not only are high in calories, but are also high in phosphoric acid. Phosphoric acid draws calcium from bones and is the main reason more people are suffering from osteoporosis.

Consequences of Dehydration

If we don’t consume enough water to sustain our vital organs it can be detrimental to our health. Not drinking enough water is the number one reason we suffer from daytime fatigue. When the brain suffers from poor hydration, mental fogginess, poor short term memory, headaches, dizziness, and poor balance occurs. Not to mention skin problems too.

Dehydration triggers a reaction in histamine production. This is dangerous for asthmatics as water is needed in the lungs to keep the tissues moist, but each time we exhale, we expel moisture from our lungs. When properly hydrated the moisture is replaced very quickly. However, in a dehydrated state, the tissues inside the lungs become coated with mucus to prevent drying – triggering an asthmatic attack.

This is also the case for all allergies, including eczema.

Not drinking enough water also has an adverse affect on our body’s ability to regulate its temperature. This change causes our body to hold on to fat. This is just one of the many ways the body ensures its survival. Lack of water can also lead to over eating as our brain does not differentiate between hunger and thirst.

This is also very bad for our skin – particularly in today’s image concsious society – it makes it look old, leathery, and full of premature wrinkles.

Increase Water Intake

dehydration water

Dehydration can be debilitating and life threatening. By increasing our consumption of water we can relieve many of today’s ailments, including allergies and skin disorders like eczema, psoriasis, dry skin, and acne.

Keeping the skin hydrated both externally and internally also delays the signs of aging and helps maintain healthy looking skin – especially for people already having dry or maturing skin.

Overall, it will enhance our wellbeing and make us feel more energetic and alive.
